We are sensitive to concerns about privacy and information sharing and want to assure our customers that all of the personal information collected on this site will be held in the strictest of confidence and used only by the EP Bookstore and its parent company, EP Global Communications Inc., owner of Exceptional Parent Magazine (hereafter collectively referred to as ‘EP.’   
 
The information we learn from our customers helps us to personalize and continually improve your shopping experience at EPBookstore.com. Here are the types of information we gather. 
 
Personal data:  We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site such as your name, address, telephone number and email address.  We use that information not only in processing your bookstore order and contacting you about your purchases, but also in providing additional information that may be of interest to you by way of letters or email newsletters generated by EP Global Communications, Inc. and Exceptional Parent Magazine.  We do not sell our mailing lists to outside companies or individuals.  If you receive an email newsletter from our parent or affiliate company, you will be given the option of ‘opting out’ and we will respect your request. 

 
Credit and financial information:  EP does not collect credit card, debit card or personal checking account information.  Your purchases are securely processed by our tie-in with a nationally recognized and trusted source, currently PayPal.  Credit and other financial information you enter in association with your bookstore purchase is not stored by EP.  Only PayPal has access and that information is not shared with employees of EP.   
 
Protection of EP and Others: We release your personal information when we believe such release is appropriate to comply with laws governing internet transactions and/or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EP, our users, or others that may be affected by the business transacted on our websites. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
